What is Sustainability in Wine? A Conversation with Michele Manelli of Cantina Salcheto

Last September, I was invited to visit Cantina Salcheto in the village of Montepulciano in Tuscany. I knew that Cantina Salcheto was a leader in sustainability in the wine business within Italy, but there is so much more to their story. I had the opportunity to interview Michele Manelli, partner and winemaker at Salcheto.

Disclosure: I was invited to visit Cantina Salcheto as their guest. They paid for my transportation from Dijon, France and two nights lodging at their guest house. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Wanting a larger reach than just Food Wine Click!, I pitched my story idea to The Vintner Project, a new online wine and spirits magazine. Click on the photo or the link below to jump to my article on The Vintner Project!
