Invitation to Join Wine Pairing Weekend’s Rioja and Barbecue Celebration #WinePW

Get Your Grill On with Wine from Rioja
On July 13th, our Wine Pairing Weekend blogging group will be sharing our suggestions for combining wine from the well known Spanish wine region of Rioja with food from the grill. Low and slow or hot and fast, what grill preparation would you mix with Rioja?

Bodegas LAN is a well known producer in Rioja. They generously provided samples for several of the participants in our upcoming event.

Rioja Wines
The Rioja wine region is located in northern Spain, with a major feature being the Ebro river which flows through the center of the region. Red wines are generally blends featuring the Tempranillo grape, augmented with Garnacha, and other grapes. White wines are also blends, based in the Viura grape, again with a variety of additional grapes allowed in the blend. Look for more information on Rioja wines from our bloggers during the event on July 13!
