Preparing for Bordeaux #MillesimaBA2017

Preparing for 2016 En Primeur Week in Bordeaux
The big week is coming up! Thanks to all of your votes, I’m going to the 2016 Bordeaux En Primeur Week as a guest of Millesima, along with 5 other talented bloggers from the US and Europe. Of course, before any trip, you prepare. I thought I would share my training regimen with you! Over the last several weeks, I’ve been virtually touring the area, familiarizing myself with the differences between wines in different communities in Bordeaux.

Millesima posted an introduction to the week here. Starting on April 1, follow along! I’ll be posting on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Look for #MillesimaBA2017

  1. You’ll easily be the most prepared person there. However, nothing can prepare you for En Primeur. Tasting over 100 baby Bordeauxs trying to determine where they will be in 3 years or more does not compare to anything else! It’s super educational & fun! I just know you’re going to have a great time. Plus the Millesima folks are fantastic. They will take great care of you. I’ll try to keep up with your experience while I’m in Spain.

  2. So happy for you, Jeff. Looking forward to your posts. Santé1

  3. What a great experience you will have. We shall all wait eagerly for your notes, while we are being envious.

  4. Jeff! I’m so excited for you! I’ll be reading every word and taking notes. Can’t wait to hear your impressions of Bordeaux (and hot tips for my visit in September)!
    Bonnes vacances!

  5. Hope you’re having a wonderful time and filling your brain and glass with knowledge ; )
