The #MerlotMe Voice in the Wilderness Continues
Our Wine Pairing Weekend writers have been singing the praises of Merlot in collaboration with the #MerlotMe producers every October for the last six years. This year, we’ll continue our quest to raise the visibility of this fine grape in wine drinker’s consciousness.
Why Not Join Along? Here’s How:
If you’d like a formal invitation to reintroduce Merlot into your wine enjoyment, consider this it! Our group will be pairing a wide variety of foods with Merlot wines in October. We’ll all post our findings on October 8 and 9, and we’ll follow up with a chat on Twitter. We would love to have you join in!
- Pick a Merlot wine to shine a light on, be it your favorite or something new. Sponsored posts are welcome as long as you clearly indicate which wines are samples.
- Pair the wine with a meal, either your favorite pairing or experiment with something new!
- Write up a blog post on your experience. Please feel free to share extra information about Merlot, the winery or the pairing. But don’t publish it yet!
- By end of day on October 5, get your title to me by email at jmb5121@gmail.com, comment below, or post in the Facebook event.
- Between Friday October 8 and Saturday October 9 at 8am please publish your post; include #WinePW in the title and add the provided preliminary HTML to link to other participants.
- On Saturday October 9, join our 10am – 11am CDT twitter chat; you can find us at both tags: #WinePW and #MerlotMe.
- Read, comment, and share each other’s posts about Merlot.
- Add the final HTML to your post which links to participants published posts.

I will sing the praises of Merlot all month long but sadly cannot join in on this one as we are travelling next week. I’ll definitely be looking forward to reading everyone’s articles.
